I love the organic, imperfect nature of handmade jewelry. Each of my pieces is one of a kind. I love working with sterling silver, semiprecious stones, and vintage findings. In my day job I work at Anthropologie, Inc. but I spend most of my free time making jewelry and trying to develop my business, Villette Jewelry. I attended Moore College of Art and Design for metalsmithing and graduated from Temple University with a degree in English- Creative Writing. If you are interested in any Villette Jewelry products shown or a custom piece, please email VilletteJewelry@gmail.com.
I couldn't resist this old pun... because sometimes it just doesn't feel like work when I am making jewelry. But I am working hard to complete all that I need to for next weekend's craft fair. One of my favorite details to work on... my price tags! I hand type all of my tags on kraft paper and sew them onto my pieces with baby blue thread. I love to type away on my grandmother's old typewriter. I love the sound, I love the feel of the keys, I love how some of the keys punch holes through the paper. It's the little things in life that make me happy.
