flower buds
I know I have posted about twig rings before but here is another one I just absolutely adore! The detail in Swallow's version is magnificent and of course I love the sparkle of the diamonds amongst the curves of these branches. (I know I lean towards oxidized metal but the gold and silver versions are equally as stunning. I'd love one of each to stack!)

nashville
I was in Nashville all last week opening up our second Anthropologie Accessories store. It was such a great opening and such a great city to tour around. By far my favorite place I visited was Hatch Show Print. They had such an amazing array of prints and the staff was so friendly. And, of course, after a hard week's worth of work, I had to treat myself to something, especially after looking at jewelry all week at Anthropologie. This necklace is so simple yet so amazing. I think this piece is going to layer wonderfully with some of my other delicate gold necklaces.

delicate leaves
I am loving this necklace by Demitra Thomloudis I got from Zuzu this weekend. The leaves are beautifully constructed and the patina is just amazing.

modern art deco
So excited about these earrings from Halloween! I know I have said it before, and I'll say it again... Halloween has the best antique replicas I have ever seen. I love the dramatic lines and the shimmer of marcasite on these earrings.

block letters
Urban Outfitters has the cutest monogram necklaces right now! And they come on adorable little cards as well... such a great "just because" gift or a creative tie-on/ nametag for the outside of a present. These necklaces are completely sold out online so if you want to snatch one up, you'll need to head to your local Urban store.

a little self discovery
I have been working so feverishly on jewelry for other people lately that I was beyond excited to finally get back in my studio and make something for myself... and it felt wonderful. I remembered why I love making jewelry... because I LOVE jewelry! I have such an emotional reaction to it. I was skipping around the house after I completed this lovely, understated piece. I was inspired by Sarah Perlis's necklaces and, although a diamond with the diameter I was looking for was way out of my price range, I am extremely happy with this beautiful round rose cut white topaz. I made the bezel for the stone a little too large but I decided to go with it anyway, and as I was setting the stone, the bezel metal started to wrinkle, which I actually really love... such a lucky accident! It makes the stone shape look a little more organic and not so perfectly round. Some people might shun away from this kind of imperfection but I embrace it and this just may be a technique I use again in the future! I also discovered that I love creating my own clasps... it makes a necklace feel just a little more handmade in a way. I feel inspired to start looking for inspiration on creating my own clasps. It's amazing how much I still continue to learn and the nerd in me, is super excited about that!

carved initials
How cute is this necklace from Digby & Iona? The initials in the heart are unbelievably adorable! This would be such a great necklace for your rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower, or anniversary... really any day!

broken english
I am head over heels for Broken English's jewelry assortment. This website has such an amazing collection of designers. My affections are torn between the Brown Diamond Slice Pendant by Loriann Stevenson and the Long Heart necklace by Naomi Maslon. On one hand, I love the diamond slice and the contrast between the gold and leather necklace of Stevenson's, but then again, I love the elongated gold heart on the large hoop and the oxidized vintage chain of Maslon's... tough to choose!
