belcher setting
This is a ring setting I didn't know much about until recently. The setting, called a Belcher, is defined by a stone held by prongs cut out of the shank of the ring. They give a claw-like appearance that looks almost gothic to me. The dainty Victorian belcher rings are especially appealing. (photo courtesy of Morning Glory Antiques)

champagne beauty
I bought my first loose diamond yesterday! This oval rose cut champagne beauty is going to make one fabulous ring. I am torn about how I want to set this stone but I am leaning towards a 14k gold bezel and thin oxidized silver band. So excited!

aquamarine dreams
I can't seem to shake the desire for an antique filigree aquamarine ring. I have been tirelessly searching online for one but, like goldie locks, nothing is JUST right. I would love to find one with a cushion cut pale aquamarine. So now I am tossing around the possibility of either choosing an antique one that simply catches my eye or having one custom made to fit my exact specifications. (photo courtesy of Aspire Auctions)
UPDATE: I found one! An antique Edwardian (dating back to the early 1900s) 14K white gold filigree masterpiece with an emerald cut aquamarine measuring approximately 10mm x 7mm. And I found it at Halloween. (Like I needed another reason to love that store!) I especially love the tulip design on the side. Believe me, this photo does not do this ring justice!

sticks & stones
There are so many wonderful things about this wood ring from Sticks & Stones, it's hard to know where to begin. I love that the beauty and pattern of wood rings can literally be worn as a ring. I love how beautifully this piece is carved. I love the shape of the "cabachon" and the band. I love the colors of the woods available. And I love the name of this company in relation to their product. I'd say I'm a fan!

the perfect hoop earrings
I am not a huge fan of Banana Republic. I don't like nor dislike them, it's just that every time I go there I either find nothing that interests me or something that's kind of cute but not worth the higher price tag to me. But I will swear by their hoop earrings! I bought a pair of smaller brushed silver ones awhile back and as soon as I needed a new pair of gold hoops, I was so excited to find that Banana Republic was still carrying the same style. I love the flattened bottom and the brushed finish is beautiful. Even the larger size manages to look classy while still having that little bit of drama that comes with large hoops. Love them!!!

it's the little things...
Bario-Neal has been on my radar for awhile and I am shocked I haven't written about them before! Especially since this jewelry team is located in my old neighborhood of Philadelphia. Shame on me. Their jewelry is just exquisite and they only use repurposed metal and conflict-free stones. I am especially in love with their Dais Ring with Diamonds. The texture and the shape of the ring is just beautiful and I love how thin the band is. I am also equally obsessed with how they package their items.

unique hoops
I love the shape of these Hazel Cox earrings (available for sale at Lille Boutique) inspired by Native American photos from the 19th century. I also love the little gold bead detail!
