I am so excited to announce that I will be participating in a Mother's Day Event at Anthropologie's King of Prussia store tomorrow, May 13th!  I'll be custom making my intial birthstone necklaces on the spot!  If you are local or in the area, stop by and shop for your mama (or yourself!).

wooden hearts

At my job (at Anthropologie's home office) we have an art gallery space that rotates an artist's series every month.  This month is a series by artist Todd Quarles who also happens to be a fellow employee at Urban Outfitters.  I am so in love with these wooden hearts (no pun intended)!  Sadly all the ones I would love to buy (seen above) have already sold.  Some of my most treasured posessions are wooden vases my grandfather made.  The way the artist embraces the unique qualities of wood reminds me of my grandfather's work.  These pieces transport me to a moment in time, creating a deep emotional reaction in me.  I think that is one of the greatest accomplishments an artist can achieve.

the one that got away

Working for a retail company, I am constantly around product I am tempted to buy.  I try to stay strong and convince myself not to buy these things which sometimes I seriously regret (could this be non-buyer's remorse???).  I have a constant list of the "ones that got away"... great product I convinced myself I didn't need for which I lament over not having for years!  This has been at the top of my list, the Casch sweater by Gro Abrahamsson from Anthropologie a few years ago.  I convinced myself it was far too expensive, which was/ is a very solid reason, but over the years, I have realized the cost per wear would have justified the expense.  Sigh... even now when I find it on ebay, pre-worn, it usually sells for the same retail price as it did 4 years ago... it's just that good!

Villette Jewelry now at Anthropologie!

I am excited to announce that Villette Jewelry will now be sold at select Anthropologie stores! Above will be two of the styles offered (coming in November)... two of my favorite styles with a little twist, my Alchemy necklace with a bezel set solar quartz and my Enraptured earrings with gold wire and oxidized silver earwires. Other styles include my traditional Alchemy necklace and one of a kind Watchcase lockets. I couldn't be happier with how all the product turned out and I am so excited about this new partnership with Anthropologie.

nashville

I was in Nashville all last week opening up our second Anthropologie Accessories store. It was such a great opening and such a great city to tour around. By far my favorite place I visited was Hatch Show Print. They had such an amazing array of prints and the staff was so friendly. And, of course, after a hard week's worth of work, I had to treat myself to something, especially after looking at jewelry all week at Anthropologie. This necklace is so simple yet so amazing. I think this piece is going to layer wonderfully with some of my other delicate gold necklaces.

looking to spring

Sorry for the lack of posts recently! Our Anthro team has been feverishly testing out our new spring display ideas and the long hours have been keeping me away from my computer. I love fall, it's my favorite season, but there is something so refreshing and exciting about spring after the long cold months.
